East Wenatchee Gateway Park
The City of East Wenatchee turned property downtown into a new public space. SCJ gathered input from community members through social media surveys, an open house, and City Council presentations. The team incorporated the results into a conceptual plan for a new park that would be used as both a trailhead and an open-air event venue. A multi-disciplinary SCJ team of engineers and landscape architects created the final design and construction drawings. The design includes a paved plaza for community events and parades, a raised platform for a stage, and tiered concrete seating that uses the ground’s slope to create a natural amphitheater feel.
