Queen Anne Family Fun
In Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood, an active family sought a functional and fun yard. SCJ Studio created a landscape fulfilling their desire for outdoor living spaces including dining, lounging, and gathering around the fire. In addition, active play areas were designed including a low-maintenance artificial turf trampoline pad and baseball and soccer practice space, basketball hoop, and living turf front yard for rousing games of tag. Along with these functional elements the landscape was enhanced with street trees, all new plantings, and a custom fence adding curb appeal and privacy to the home. At the front, a widened front walk and new stairs provide clear wayfinding to the door, welcoming visitors and deliveries alike to the correct entrance.
