Seattle Cottage Garden
In Seattle's Montlake neighborhood, SCJ Studio designed a lush landscape for a modest new home. The client's vision included privacy from the street and curb appeal, both of which were obtained with a decorative fence and thoughtful planting. Inside the fence, outdoor rooms allowed the house and landscape spaces to mingle. A paver patio and a wood deck created two outdoor extensions of the home, where the dining room and office spaces could open into the landscape. In order to create a sustainable system for rainwater, this landscape included both pervious pavers and a rain garden. Photography by: Miranda Estes Photography
