The Butte Local Development Corporation (BLDC) and the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow, in collaboration with SCJ Studio Landscape Architecture, Doppelmayr/Garaventa, and Our Lady of the Rockies (OLR), explored the feasibility of a gondola system in Butte, MT.

SCJ Studio teamed with Seattle’s ARC Architects to design a civic center for the city of Union Gap, Washington. Centered around a new city hall and police station, the design transforms what was once a city block of asphalt, devoid of green, into a vibrant civic space.

This park honors the native riparian landscape of the Slate River while providing community gathering spaces and amenities.

Our team designed a series of amenities including formal lawns, vistas, sculpture gardens, a reflection pool, a conservatory, an event pavilion, patios, and guest cottages.
